I am going on Suisse27 with three other people from 9th Itchen Sea Scouts. It’s cool that Iyla, James, Theo and I are all going together. We met at Beavers and have been doing Scouting together ever since. The Switzerland trip is two weeks long. We are going to Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC), an international Scout camp. We will be hiking in the mountains, going to Bern to see the bears, going white-water rafting, and doing many other activities. I really want to try canyoning. The four of us are working together to fund our trip. We are going to do lots of fairs, a sponsored walk, and a quiz night. We are trying to raise £5,600. We are going to have lots of fun!

  Hello, Theo here! This month, it’s my turn to write the blog, so here goes... In case you are wondering what’s going on, then here’s a brief reminder. We (Iyla, James, Amiya and I) are all hoping to go on a two-week trip to Kanderstag in Switzerland in August 2027 to the International Scout Campsite. We’re really looking forward to meeting other Scouts from around the world, as well as taking part in some amazing activities in a beautiful location. From hiking in the mountains, to visiting a glacier and white-water rafting on a local river, it’s an action-packed adventure all the way (not to mention we’ve heard there’s good chocolate in Switzerland!). Obviously, an adventure like this comes with a price tag, and to raise funds for our trip we’ve got a busy schedule of events and activities across the next fifteen months.
